DACA Arts & Crafts Grant - How to Apply

Are you interested in applying for a DACA Arts & Crafts Grant?

We are now inviting applications for the Arts & Crafts Grant for 2019.

The DACA Arts & Crafts Grant (formerly known as the DACA Bursary) is awarded on a two year basis, with a maximum of £600 available for each of the two years.   The amount may be increased at the discretion of the committee.  However, if you wish to apply for the Grant for only one year, your application will also be welcome.

The Grant may be awarded to an individual or group for an art or craft project and may be used to help with the purchase of specialist equipment, or to pay for training, or to develop new skills.  If you are applying as an individual we would prefer your work to be helping a community group, school or similar.   We prefer any materials and equipment being purchased to be locally sourced.   The applicant must be based in Dorset.

We would like the Grant winner to make a display about their project for our annual exhibition for each of the two years of the award.   This can be valuable publicity for your work.  How you contribute to the exhibition will depend on the nature of the project.  It could be a photographic display, samples of work or even an opportunity for members of the public to have a hands-on experience.

Your application should explain the nature of the project, who is involved and who will benefit.  You should include a breakdown of your costs.

Applications for the DACA Arts & Crafts Grant for 2019 can be made now; the closing date for applications is 31st December 2018.   The winner will be selected by the Association committee no later than 31st January 2019.
