Showcase 2021

For 2021, we were delighted to present an Arts and Crafts Showcase, which took place at the Purbeck School in Wareham in early August. After the disappointment of having to cancel our summer exhibition in 2020, it was good to be able to welcome visitors to a new kind of event.

Showcase 2021 celebrated the wide diversity and high quality of arts, crafts & photography carried out within Dorset. A major theme of the showcase was a gallery style display of work created by DACA members. All items in the display were for sale, with visitors able to take their purchases away on the day.

As well as the gallery sales, Showcase 2021 featured a display of work by recent trophy winners and the DACA members’ photo challenge.

Other attractions included craft stalls featuring heritage and contemporary crafts by local makers and demonstrations of weaving and spinning by members of the Dorset Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers.
