We are sorry to report that Dorothy Watson passed away on 3rd August, after a period of ill health. Dorothy was an enthusiastic supporter of the Association and was particularly keen for young people and schools to enter work into the exhibition. She would regularly visit schools in the Wimborne area to tell them about the exhibition and would collect work in herself from schools to encourage them to take part.

Dorothy was highly skilled in lace-making, crochet and knitting, most recently winning the Mackenzie-Edwards Challenge Cup for her knitted lace coffee cloth at our 2015 exhbition.

She will be much missed by the Association, and we send our sympathies to her daughter Jo, her granddaughters, and to her family and friends.

Dorothy’s funeral will take place on Thursday 17th August at 11am at St Michael’s Church, Colehill.
