Our small group has its roots in the 1970s. In fact, we still have one or two members who were in at, or very near, the beginning.  For many years, we were the Poole branch of West Country Embroiderers, until that association disbanded at the end of 2023.

Keen to continue, we changed our name and became the Dorset Creative Embroiderers. We are a committee-led group and aim to be welcoming and accessible, promoting a mix of traditional and modern embroidery, and textile art, through social meetings and workshops.

About our meetings

We meet on the second Monday of the month (except August), at St Nicholas’ Church in Corfe Mullen, from 9.45am till 3pm, with workshops starting at 10am.    Tea/coffee and biscuits are available throughout the day and we each bring our packed lunch.

The Subscription year runs January to December and the fee for 2026 is £85.00. The fee for Visitors is £15 per session.
