We are delighted that our popular judged competitions are returning for Showcase 2022.

Entry into judged competitions is open to all. Selected details are given below but full instructions and information can be found by following this link Enter your work.

There is a charge of £2 for each individual adult entry. DACA Members receive 50% discount on entry fees.

All entries will be judged and will be eligible to compete for a trophy (Trophies and Awards) and, where appropriate, be awarded a DACA certificate and receive comments from a judge.

The following limits apply to the numbers of items one entrant can submit :

  • A maximum of 3 photographs across the five Photographic competitions.
  • A maximum of 2 paintings across the two Fine Art competitions.
  • A maximum of 2 items in each of the Craft sections. There is no limit to the number of Craft sections that can be entered.

Items entered into judged competitions will NOT be for sale. After judging, items will be displayed by DACA personnel in a manner designed to achieve and maintain the maximum collective impact.

A trophy presentation will be held at 3pm on Sunday 7th August. All trophy winners will be invited to attend.

Certificates and judges comments will be available for collection during the event or upon collection of the items after the event.

Preferably, please use the online form below to submit your details. Alternatively, follow this link for a print and post version of the form work for judging 2022.

The information you enter will be used to produce labels for your work. These will be posted to you along with a copy of your entry details and some flyers which we ask that you use to help publicise the event.

If you have any queries or require a hard copy version of the form, please email the Entries Secretary (entries@dorsetartsandcrafts.org)
