I have always loved colour, texture, fashion and jewellery. Inspired by my Granny, I began making jewellery at the age of 18 after borrowing one of her pieces for an evening out. She also inspired the name of my business, Lillie James Designs, which combines her first name and maiden name.
At 23, I opened my first of five clothing boutiques in South London, and for more than twenty years I was fortunate to combine all of my passions through my work.
In 2016, I retired from the clothing industry to focus entirely on my jewellery collections. Each piece is thoughtfully created using repurposed vintage crystal and glass, pearls, and semi-precious stones.
