The Competition Galleries

The judged competitions are at the heart of what we do. The competitions are open to everyone, members and non-members, and work is judged by experts who assess the work, make awards and offer advice to entrants on how they can develop their skills.

Every item entered is considered for an award, which can be

• Gold – Work of Outstanding Merit
• Silver – Work of Special Merit
• Blue – Highly Commended
• Green – Commended

Trophies may be awarded for the best entry in each of the 24 Craft Sections and in the fine art and photography competitions.

The trophies will be presented on Sunday 3rd August at 2:30pm.

Visitors’ Choice

Vote for your favourite painting, photograph, quilt and craft item.    Voting slips will be available in the competition galleries.

Voting will be open until 12pm on Tuesday 5th August.    Winners will receive small cash prizes and we’ll publish details of the winning items on the website after Showcase has closed.
