DACA Arts and Crafts Grant

Grant funding of up to £1,000 annually is available through the DACA Arts & Crafts Grant.     The aim of the Grant is to support groups or individuals in the development of art and craft projects.   Applications must have a strong arts or crafts focus. Your project must meet at least one of the following criteria

  • Promoting study and encouraging education of residents of Dorset
  • Supporting young people
  • Supporting those with additional needs
  • Groups supporting mental health and wellbeing
  • Community projects
  • Developing new skills

The grant may be awarded for specialist equipment, for training or for materials necessary for the project.

You will be asked to contribute a display of work to our annual Showcase event, to show visitors how you are using the grant.   This display may consist of finished articles or  work in progress, depending on the nature of your project.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible applicants are:

  • Schools
  • Groups working with young people
  • Groups working  with those with additional needs
  • Groups supporting mental health and wellbeing
  • Properly constituted voluntary organisations (see Terms and Conditions for guidance)
  • Individuals who wish to develop their knowledge or skills for the benefit of others

Applicant organisations must be based in Dorset, although members of the organisation may be resident outside the county.

Individual applicants must be resident in Dorset.
